Da Nascente à Foz
Angella Conte, natural de Jaboticabal, apresenta uma exposição em que todas as obras se articulam, como num grande sistema, formando um discurso dirigido à preservação das reservas de água do planeta. Tendo como ponto de partida o espaço expositivo, no caso, o Museu Florestal "Octávio Vecchi" e seu entorno, a artista cria uma série de trabalhos que refletem sobre a arte, a natureza e as ações humanas. E é exatamente por essa relação íntima que os trabalhos mantém com o local em que se estabelecem que sua obra mostra-se extremamente contemporânea, já que o espaço tem sido, desde os primórdios da arte moderna, um elemento a ser levado em consideração na hora de pensar qualquer projeto expositivo.
Mas, além do caráter de manifesto e de denúncia social, que permeia toda a exposição, os trabalhos propõem uma expansão no modo com que normalmente se concebe a relação do homem com a natureza. A ativação da memória de uma paisagem que já não existe mais (ou poderá deixar de existir em breve), a experiência com a natureza transformada numa experiência com imagens, a alegria que sentimos ao observar o curso de um rio transposto para um museu (lugar de contemplação estética por excelência), são algumas das sensações que as obras despertam. A artista mostra fotos, vídeos, obras tridimensionais, enfim, os mais diversos suportes para ampliar a reflexão do público sobre esse tema tão corrente quanto relevante hoje em dia.

From the riverhead to the mouth
Angella Conte, born in Jaboticabal, presents an exhibition where all the pieces fit together like a great system giving a speech to the preservation of water reserves of the planet. On the basis of the exhibition space, in the case, the Forest Museum “Octávio Vecchi) and its surroundings, the artist creates a series of works that reflect about art, nature and human actions. It is exactly for that intimate relationship that the work has with the place which state that her work is very contemporary, as the area has been, since the beginning of the
modern art, an element to be taken into account at the time to think of any expositive project .
But beyond the character of manifest and social denunciation which permeates the entire exhibition, the work proposed an expansion in the way that you usually conceives the relationship of man with nature. The activation of the memory of a landscape that has no more (or may disappear soon), the experience with nature transformed into an experience with images, the joy we feel to observe the course of a river transposed to a museum ( place of aesthetic contemplation by excellence), are some of the sensations that the work arouses. The artist shows pictures, videos, three-dimensional works, finally the most diverse media to amplify the public debate on this issue as current as relevant today.
